Thanks to a grant from the National Lotteries Reaching Communities Fund, we are pleased to announce the appointment of 2 new Community Outreach Officers. The Reaching Communities project is funded for five years.
Aggie Maxwell and Ana Averescu bring a wealth of skills and experience from the community sector to the organisation and are looking forward to helping community organisations in Bradford set up their own cycling related activity, whilst supporting Capital of Cycling to promote their own services.
Anthony Thomson, one of the Directors of Capital of Cycling says: “It’s great to have Ana and Aggie in post and they’re already starting to help us develop links across the communities of Bradford. We hope to work with Bradford Moor PASS, Mary Magdalene CIC, Kirkgate Community Centre and more in encouraging cycling and maintenance activities.”

Hello, I live in Wibsey, are there any cycling clubs for beginners to gain more confidence available, locally?
Thanks
Hi Saira,
I’m not sure if there’s a Wibsey specific group but it’s worth asking on the Bradford Cycling Campaign Facebook group about it maybe? https://www.facebook.com/groups/bradfordcycling
We are planning to run some more confidence building rides, but obviously it will have to wait until after lockdown.
