Cycling to COP26

The 2021 United Nations Climate Change Conference, also known as COP26, is the 26th United Nations Climate Change conference. It is scheduled to be held in the city of Glasgow, Scotland, between 31 October and 12 November 2021, under the presidency of the United Kingdom.

In order to raise awareness of the need to decarbonise transport, in particular the need to make cycling short journeys safer, easier, and cheaper, a group of Capital of Cycling staff and volunteers are cycling from Bradford to Glasgow.

It will be the hardest ride many of them will have done. It will be cold, wet and exhausting.

If you would like to support them in doing this, you can:

  1. Give to our fundraiser https://www.justgiving.com/campaign/cyclingtocop26
  2. Write to your MP and councilors telling them what we are doing and why! (Watch out here and on our social media as to the messages you can send)
  3. Join us on the first day for some or all of our first leg. We are riding from Bradford to Catterick.
