We were thrilled to be presented an award by Imran Hussain MP at Feversham Primary School for our work helping them set up an after school club.
Thanks to Feversham Primary and Imran Hussain MP
and the kind words said, thanks for the opportunity to
celebrate a successful community partnership which has
given so many pupils access to bikes and weekly cycling
activities with all the associated health and well-being
benefits.
We’re grateful to be working alongside people with the
vision, passion and dedication to make a difference and
especially Haroon Dad for going the extra mile and
repairing school bikes at weekends as well as taking the
time to write for our newsletter, speak to our funders and
appear on a podcast with cycling organisations from
around the UK!
Capital of Cycling (capitalofcycling.org) provided
maintenance training, workshop access, helmets and
spare parts, some signposting to other sources of help
and in partnership with Margaret Carey Foundation
(margaretcareyfoundation.org.uk) arranged for a supply
of bikes to the school. Thanks to Ibrar Ali and Fazal Dad
from Bradford Moor PASS for bringing the partnership
together.
We hope we will continue to work with Feversham
Primary and support young people in taking advantage
of the many physical and mental well-being positives of
cycling and together contribute to growing a culture of
cycling and active travel in the city with reduced car use,
and a more liveable and sustainable Bradford.
