We are looking for a person who can deliver, develop and coordinate opportunities in community settings and work with partners to create activities which engage people with cycling and active travel in a variety of ways, including children’s sessions, family and community rides as well as bike fixing.
We are keen to speak to people who don’t have a background in cycling but who have other skills they could bring into our organisation that might include administration skills, working in the third sector, community work, specific knowledge of Keighley or Bradford communities, training or marketing skills.
We have recently been successful in securing funding for a Keighley based project called Keighley Active Travel Services (KATS). It aims to cohere a range of Active Travel opportunities around cycling and maintenance for diverse groups of people under the KATS banner, with a website and publicity materials. The project also involves a budget to support a residents group based at Devonshire Park in their efforts to install a container from which they will deliver a range of activities for the area.
Approximately half of the role would be dedicated to Keighley and the other half would be focussed on supporting Capital of Cycling’s activities in Bradford. You would be part of a small, friendly team, helping in an administrative capacity, contributing in meetings and supporting other Capital of Cycling staff in defining and meeting their objectives.
