Keighley Stuff, E-bike Library and Buttershaw!

Just a quick update before we go off for Xmas. (Our staff are taking a well earned break so it will be a very quiet skeleton crew between 23rd Dec and 5th Jan 2026).

We’ve got a new venue in Keighley – you can come and visit us there on Tuesdays. We’re running maintenance courses there and working with a range of partners in the area including Keighley Youth Focus, JU:MP, the Youth Service and more.

We’ve launched an E-bike library scheme (commissioned by the Active Travel Social Prescribing Team in the Council). We’re aiming to do 300 loans of an e-bike for two weeks or more between now and August!

We’re hoping to work with Hop-On in an Active Travel Hubs project near Peel Park. They will be running fantastic ride activities and we’ve taken on a venue nearby and are working on making it a maintenance training venue thanks to InCommunities. More to come on this soon.

We’ve activities happening in Buttershaw too – more info to come soon. We recently won a small grant from West Yorkshire Combined Authority to do some mountain biking and maintenance activities with young people in the area.

As always we’re running free adult (16+) maintenance and cycling lessons at several levels. We’re also working with UpCycle in Shipley supporting the Shipley Active Travel Hub.

It’s been a really busy year – one of the highlights has been our City of Culture project “On Yer Bike” – an exhibition activity is pictured above.

Merry Xmas all – and the best for the New Year!
