We welcome donations of unused bikes and associated equipment from the public. We will fix them up and put to good use, putting any proceeds into a worthwhile charitable project. The aim is simply to get as many people as possible riding a bike!
You can email info@capitalofcycling.org to arrange a drop-off.
We don’t want completely knackered bikes that are beyond repair/rusted solid. We’d like to help fix up all bikes but it’s not effective for us to spend a long time fixing a very broken bike that wouldn’t be worth the hours and spare parts needed to get it up and running.
If you have a bike or kit to drop off and are making a special trip, it’s a good idea to e-mail in advance to let us know you’re coming.
If dropping off with a vehicle there is on street parking available at Rawson Road. You can post items to our hub address.
Financial donations are of course also welcome to support our work and you can donate via the button below.

Hi are you still accepting donations of used cycling clothing?
Hi Niki – yes we’re always grateful to accept these kind of donations and try to put them to good use.
Hi, Are you opened. I got a bike for someone who was going to get rid of it. I saved it from going to the tip. Can I bring it in to get some repairs done please for my daughter.
I’m afraid we’re not open for repairs just yet. We’ll be posting updates online but we have a small staff and rely on volunteers so our primary concern is their safety. We are not a commercial repair shop. Halfords is open as are other local bike shops you could Google.
Hi,
I am part of the team that run a cycle clothing company. What is your capacity for donated used bike clothing?
BR
Dave
Hi Dave,
We’re always pleased to receive donations of most cycling related items including clothing. We’ll always either use them for worthy projects or pass them to someone who does. You can drop stuff at the address on the contact page, or drop us an e-mail. Thanks!
Hi Team
We have recently formed a new cyclong club with over 40 members and a brand new kit. This means we are getting rid of our old design. Many which have barely been worn. Would you be interested in recieving this kit and I can arrange for it to be dropped off.
Many thanks Sue Evans
Hi Sue – we’d be delighted to receive it and could pass it to a worthwhile cause.
It can be dropped off or posted to Capital of Cycling, Rawson Road, BD1 3SH
Hi there,
I have some cycling clothing and equipment to donate. I am based in the London area. Are you still taking postal donations.
Best regards,
Phil
We’re based in Bradford but you can always post things to CoC, Hall Ings, BD1 5SD!
Hi,
Are you accepting cycling clothing in good condition?
Thanks
Sure are. See the address on our contact page. Thanks.
Hi,
Do you also accept used helmets. Worn but not damaged. With scuff marks and ware and tear.
Thanks.
Hi, yes, used helmets in good condition are useful to us.
Hello,
I have some brand new but old stock of cycling clothes that I would like to donate to you, these include shirts, shorts, bib shorts and jackets. if you are interested and can pick up let me know.
Regards
Neal.
Yes please – you can post or drop in at Capital of Cycling, Rawson Road, BD1 3SH
Kapital, it’s quite a lot of cycle clothing, can you email me and I will explain I can take photographs, but realistically someone would need to pick up.
Have e-mailed – ta!
Hello Can I still donate cycling clothing I have a few things like jerseys and some bibs and a jacket Can I post them to you if you’re still accepting them? Thanks
Sure we’re still grateful for cycling kit. You can find our address on the contact page.
Do you accept triathlon kit as well as cycle kit? Struggling to find any organisations/charities who can put the kit to a good use.
We’d mainly prefer cycling related kit rather than swimming or other stuff. Thanks. Some regular charity shops would probably take reasonable quality items though.
Hi, I have a box of junior/small adult cycling kit that my son has grown out of – would you be able to make use of it? Thanks
Yes – we could!
Do you sell any of the donated bikes or equipment to the general public?
Hi – we can sell parts during our bike kitchens but we don’t generally sell donated bikes – they’re used for community projects. We do have a ton of cycling kit – clothing etc. which you’re welcome to rifle through on a donation basis if you’re able to contribute.
We have some cycling kit to donate. Unfortunately we sent it to Hall Ings (info from Stutt Velo website) and it has been returned to us.
Could you please confirm the correct delivery address and we will send it on. Thank you.

I would like to donate quite a pile of clean, adult cycling clothing including racing kit and helmets. Where should I send my boxes?
Hi Ken – have a look on our contact/location page

HI, do you take mountain bike shoes (unworn and very good ones)? We would love them to go to someone who would really value them! Thanks.
They sound like something we could make good use of thanks – you can post it to the address in the contacts page if possible.
Hi
Are you still in need of unwanted cycling clothing? Many thanks
Good quality stuff is most welcome for use in community settings. We have an excess of bibs however so best not to send those.
