Online workshop on winter commuting

Are you a bit wary of cycling in winter? Not sure where to start when it comes to cycle commuting? Or maybe you’ve got a bike in your shed that could save you money, get you fitter and less stressed? We can help!

This short webinar will answer questions such as “How do I keep warm?” “How do I deal with the weather? “How do I know bike is road worthy?” “What should I wear?” “How do I keep myself and my bike safe?” “How do I carry my stuff?” and several other questions.

Hosted by Capital of Cycling, a cycling charity based in the centre of Bradford and delivered by the Margaret Carey Foundation with funding from CityConnect, this workshop aims to take the guess-work out of active travel in the winter months.

Panellists include Aggie Maxwell, outreach officer for Capital of Cycling and Director and rider for Cargodale, e-cargobike delivery; Emily Connor, Project Officer and Bike Mechanic with Capital of Cycling and Darren Reed, Project Officer and Bike Mechanic with the Margaret Carey Foundation.

After a short presentation from the panellists, there will be plenty of time to ask all those burning questions. You’ll go away ready to hop on two-wheels and pedal to wherever you need to go!
