Coronavirus restrictions operating now

Please note access to our building is now by appointment only because of Coronavirus. We are not a shop although we do sometimes sell second hand bikes, we are a small charity that relies on help from volunteers. We need to keep our staff and volunteers safe so please do not turn up and expect access right now. We have had a lot of people banging on the doors and windows trying to get bikes or help with repairs. It is simply not safe for us to serve you in this way right now.

The best way to contact us at the moment is to e-mail info@capitalofcycling.org – we are not manning the phone all the time.

If you are after a bike, bike repairs and so on, we may not be able to serve you for several weeks – please don’t keep asking, we will put out announcements when this changes. We may not get round to replying or ringing you even if you ask us to. This is because we have existing projects we need to deliver and only a small number of staff.

There are other bike shops in Bradford which will be able to help you commercially – use Google.

Capital of Cycling Hub: Hall Ings, under the NCP Car-park (formerly a sports shoes shop).

This is a fantastic venue right opposite City Park.  Please get in touch is you want to use this space for Corporate/paid for cycling events.  We have a large ‘track area’, cycle maintenance stands and hot-desking/office events space.

Usual Opening Times:

We’re currently not open for the public drop-ins and events described below – see our Covid-19 statement.

We’re currently opening on an ad-hoc basis so contact us through Facebook to check if you’re making a special trip.  The building is usually staffed 11-5, Monday to Fridays with additional opening for events.  Press the doorbell or ring the landline for access if the doors are not open.

If you’re wanting to fix your bike or volunteer and learn about bike maintennance by helping others to fix theirs, Friday afternoons 2:00 – 4:30 are drop in ‘fix and learn’ workshops.

Drop in to have a chat. We want this to be a space that all cycling groups can make use of.  You can also donate a bike or bike accessories.
