We welcome donations of unused bikes and associated equipment from the public. Bradford Bikery will fix it up and put it to good use – either selling it on at an affordable price and putting the money into a worthwhile charitable project or passing it on to one of our volunteers. The broad aim is simply to get as many people as possible riding a bike!
Although we don’t like to look a gift horse in the mouth, we don’t want completely knackered bikes that are beyond repair/rusted solid (unless they are antiques of some kind). We’d like to help fix up all bikes but it’s not effective for us to spend a long time fixing a very broken bike that wouldn’t be worth the hours and spare parts needed to get it up and running.
If you have a bike or kit to drop off and are making a special trip, it’s a good idea to ring or e-mail in advance to let us know you’re coming. There’s usually someone here from 11-5 Monday-Friday who will be able to accept your donation and at other times by arrangement. Have a look at our contacts page for details. If dropping off with a vehicle there is a space for you to pull in – a small driveway just at the front of Capital of Cycling, past the meter parking and entrance to NCP car park.
